Let your own agent pick up the edits

On Plus and above, Dock provides an MCP endpoint and a command-line tool. Install the plugin or sign in with a personal access token, and agents such as Claude Code and Codex can read and write the presentations and documents in your Dock.

    Your agent writes straight into Dock

    Claude Code and other agents read and write your presentations through MCP, and the finished files show up right in Dock.

    > Make an 8-slide presentation from the Q3 numbers and put it in Dock

    ● dock_slides_create Create "Q3 business numbers"

    ● dock_slides_render 8 slides, no overlapping layouts

    ✓ Saved to Dock: My files

    Open it in Dock and edit

    Set up Dock in Claude Code or Codex

    The Dock plugin gives your agent Dock's MCP server and its slide skills. It signs in with OAuth, so there's no token to copy. To use a token instead, see option 2.

    Endpoint
    https://app.dock.space/v1/mcp
    Transport
    Streamable HTTP
    Sign-in
    OAuth with the plugin, or Authorization: Bearer with a personal access token
    Plan
    Plus and above

    Option 1: install the plugin

    1. Install the Dock plugin

      In Claude Code 2.1.275 or later:

      › /plugin install dock-space --marketplace gntc-labs/skills

      In an older Claude Code:

      › /plugin marketplace add gntc-labs/skills
      › /plugin install dock-space@gntc-labs

      In Codex, from a terminal:

      $ codex plugin marketplace add gntc-labs/skills
      $ codex plugin add dock-space@gntc-labs
    2. Sign in the first time

      The plugin carries no token. Sign in to Dock with OAuth the first time you use it: in Claude Code, run /mcp and pick plugin:dock-space:dock. In Codex, run codex mcp login dock.

    Or paste this into your agent

    Your agent runs the install and tells you how to sign in.

    I'd like you to set up the Dock plugin: Dock's MCP server and slide skills, so you can make and edit presentations in my Dock.

    If you are Claude Code, run:
    claude plugin marketplace add gntc-labs/skills
    claude plugin install dock-space@gntc-labs

    If you are Codex, run:
    codex plugin marketplace add gntc-labs/skills
    codex plugin add dock-space@gntc-labs

    The plugin signs in with OAuth and carries no token, so don't ask me for one. Signing in is the one step I do myself, so when the install is done, tell me how: in Claude Code, restart it, run /mcp and pick plugin:dock-space:dock; in Codex, run codex mcp login dock in a terminal.

    You're done when `claude plugin list` or `codex plugin list` shows dock-space@gntc-labs as enabled.

    Option 2: use a personal access token

    1. Create a personal access token

      In Dock, open Settings → Access tokens. Name the token, tick the scopes below and click Create token. The token is shown only once, and it works only in the workspace you created it in.

      • Slides: Read and Write (decks:read, decks:write)
      • Live collaboration: Connect (collab:connect), which every edit needs
    2. Add Dock to Claude Code

      Run this in a terminal, with your token in place of YOUR_TOKEN:

      $ claude mcp add --transport http dock https://app.dock.space/v1/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"
      $ claude mcp list
      dock: https://app.dock.space/v1/mcp (HTTP) - ✔ Connected

      For the Dock command line, install it from Download and hand it the same token:

      $ export DOCK_TOKEN=YOUR_TOKEN
      $ dock whoami

    Create, edit and export a presentation

    Ask your agent for all three in one message. It creates the presentation with dock_slides_create, reads it with dock_slides_get, edits it and exports it with dock_slides_export. The new presentation is in your Dock.

    › Use the dock MCP tools. Create a presentation titled "Q3 KPI review" from the Dock template g6-kpi-report, change the title text on its first slide, then export it as PPTX

    The same steps with the command line, on the Product roadmap template. dock slides get lists each slide's shapes with their ids, such as {#5}:

    $ dock slides create "Product roadmap" --template g8-roadmap
    $ dock slides get DECK_ID
    $ dock slides edit DECK_ID SetText --slide sl1 --shape 5 --text "Cross-team review, H1 2027"
    committed SetText @ seq 1
    $ dock slides export DECK_ID -o roadmap.pptx
    $ dock slides export DECK_ID --format pdf -o roadmap.pdf

    How deep your agent can go

    It goes well past editing text. Dock breaks a presentation down into precise actions, so whatever the agent wants to change, there's a tool for it.

    120+MCP tools across presentations, documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, pages and databases
    200+presentation actions, from changing one word to swapping the whole slide master
    21capability groups: the agent finds the group, then looks up the action, without reading them all at once
    • Text, shapes and images
    • Chart data and formatting
    • 3D and surface charts
    • Tables and cells
    • Paragraphs and bullets
    • Backgrounds: color, gradient, image
    • Transitions and Morph
    • Masters, layouts and theme fonts
    • Placeholders
    • Hyperlinks
    • Connectors
    • Sections
    • Video and audio: trimming, fades
    • Ink strokes
    • Embedded web blocks
    • Delete and reset

    1Proposal first, then apply

    See it before anything changes

    Tell the agent "show me first" and it sends the changes as a proposal without touching a word of the presentation itself. You look it over in Dock and click "Adopt" or "Reject".

    • A proposal for a presentation is adopted or rejected as a whole; it never applies halfway
    • If someone edits the same spot after the proposal is sent, applying it is blocked, so their edit isn't overwritten
    • The agent can send several versions of one slide for you to compare side by side
    • Applied changes are recorded under the person who applied them, with the agent session they came from
    The agent's proposed changes (sample)Your call

    "Change the price on slide 4 to NT$ 4,600, and turn the bullets on slide 7 into a bar chart"

    1. Slide 4Price NT$ 4,200 NT$ 4,600
    2. Slide 74 bullet lines → bar chart, same numbers
    3. Slide 7Title Route performance Four routes, three ahead

    The agent rendered the slides after editing: no text runs off the slide

    RejectAdopt 3 changes

    2Checks its own work

    The agent looks over its work when it's done

    A change that was written in can still break the layout. Dock lets the agent render a slide as an image and check the layout, and when something is off, it fixes it in another round.

    • Render any slide as an image, so the agent sees what it made
    • The layout check costs less than rendering, so it can run after every edit
    • Documents can be rendered as pages too, to catch a heading stranded at the bottom of a page
    The agent's check log (sample)Fixed
    1. Check 1Slide 3 title runs 2 lines past its text box
    2. FixTitle size 40 34, set on two lines
    3. Check 2Rendered slide 3: no overflow, no overlap

    Reports "done" only after checking

    The agent can take over more than presentations

    The same MCP tools can read and write the other files in your Dock.

    • Slides

      Create presentations, change layouts, swap charts, add transitions, or turn an image presentation into an editable one.

    • Documents

      Write content, turn on track changes, compare two versions, export to Word.

    • Spreadsheets

      Read and write cells, export to .xlsx.

    • PDF

      Read the text, fill in forms, add comments, or extract and rearrange pages.

    • Pages and databases

      Write note pages, query databases, add or update rows.

    • Assets and image generation

      Generate an image, then place it on a slide, or upload your own assets.
